Rochester -- Nothing seemed to go right for the Syracuse SkyChiefs during their nine-game losing streak.
Friday night, a lot of things went right, and as a result the losing streak is over.
Mike Smith pitched three-hit baseball for eight innings, retiring the final 15 batters he faced. The SkyChiefs' bats finally came alive in a five-run ninth inning when Jayson Werth and Ken Huckaby blasted home runs. The SkyChiefs defeated the Rochester Red Wings 7-3.
