San Diegans will say goodbye to the "Q" this year as the home of the Padres. The 2003 season will be the final year for Padres Baseball in Qualcomm Stadium. The much anticipated construction of PETCO Park is drawing to a close and will welcome the new home for Padres baseball beginning with the 2004 season.
After 35 years, two World Series (1984 and 1998), and a pair of Major League Baseball All-Star Games (1978 and 1992) at Qualcomm Stadium, the Padres will begin a new life in PETCO Park, an "intimate" park with state-of-the-art fan amenities and an innovative design.
