More Water Delays: A complex and long-delayed pact to guarantee water supplies to Southern California hit another snag last week.
The Quantification Settlement Agreement, a deal covering how water from the Colorado River is distributed throughout Southern California, is being held up due to infighting among the various water agencies. The deal would limit California's total take from the river to its historical limit of 4.4 million acre-feet annually, as other states increase their use of Colorado River water.
