A Truce May Be In Order
We have heard reports that California Insurance Commissioner John Garamendi is a lot more reasonable in private dealings with insurers than in his public statements. We certainly hope so.
As a former supporter of the no-fault concept, he surely knows deep down that it is the last best hope for auto insurance sanity in California.
A measure of reasonableness on both sides might help take some of the tarnish off the Golden State's auto insurance reputation.
