WASHINGTON -- Opposition to impending wireless local number portability rules refuses to die, even after the fight has been abandoned by one of the primary advocates of a delay.
WLNP opposition is alive here, with some carriers still clinging to hopes they can get the upcoming deadline delayed or even canceled. The effort, at first vociferous and openly vigorous among wireless carriers, has gone guerilla, with quiet efforts being made on Capitol Hill to coerce support from organizations previously quiet on WLNP implementation.
