But his thrift asset disposal operation is ready to deal
J. Michael Berry hears the criticism, but he says he doesn't let it bother him.
As director of the West Coast office of the Resolution Trust Corp. in Costa Mesa, Berry is the top California official of one of the most powerful -- but to its critics, confused and slow-moving -- government bureaucracies.
Berry has 360 people working under him, and he plans to fill another 240 positions in the next 12 months.
