Many digital backs and high-end cameras for professional users made their debut at PMA 2003, held March 2-5 in Las Vegas, Nev. Here's a look.
Canon U.S.A. Inc., Lake Success, N.Y., introduced the $1,999 6.3-megapixel Canon EOS 1 OD digital SLR, which employs a 3,072-by-2,048 CMOS sensor, capturing 18MB image files at full resolution. A pro camera, designed for wedding, portrait, and event photographers, simultaneously captures images in both RAW and JPEG files. Using interchangeable Canon EOS SLR lenses, the camera has a 1.6x lens conversion factor, a maximum shooting speed of three frames per second with a maximum "burst" of nine exposures, and an advanced ...
