The St. Francis boys soccer team is an offensive juggernaut, as evidenced by its 8-goal explosion earlier in the Burlington Central tournament.
Hampshire had the unenviable task of short-circuiting the Spartans' power, and the Whip-Purs did just that in Saturday's championship match.
But while the Whip-Purs' defense did its job, the Spartans one- upped Hampshire by shutting out the Whips 1-0.
St. Francis beat Hampshire 7-1 in last year's title game at Central.
