THE multi-millionaire former boss of the collapsed Accident Group -who sacked his staff by text on pay day -was in Cheshire yesterday for a charity event.

Mark Langford, chairman of the failed business which crashed with massive debts in May, turned up at the Howard Keel Golf Classic at Mere Country Club.

The sun-tanned businessman was helping raise money for the NSPCC at the annual event.

His appearance further fuelled the anger of former Accident Group employees who claim Langford could have easily paid their wages out of his estimated pounds 20m personal fortune.
