Marplex is one of Australia's leading suppliers of plastics materials. The 35-year-old firm has been owned by companies such as Chemplex and Huntsman. In 2003, its Australian directors have bought out major Malaysian shareholder Antah. Following the buyout, Marplex and Engineering Polymers are subsidiaries of Marplex Australia (Holdings). Marplex has an annual turnover of around $A60 million in over 65 staff. It is the Australasian distributor for BASF, Kraiburg and Mitsubishi. The company is expanding its facility in Melbourne's Noble Park.
