The National Roads Authority (SNAM) has begun evaluating 14 bids for the road and bridge packages on the final stage of the Casablanca-El-Jadida motorway. The contract to build the 31-kilometre stretch of dual-carriageway between Tnine Chtouka and El-Jadida was retendered in two packages in May after initial bids for the overall scope of works came in over budget. SNAM is expected to take at least two months to complete bid evaluation (MEED 16:5:03).
Kuwait's Burhan International Contracting Company is understood to be the low bidder for the 32-month contract to upgrade the last stage of the road to El-Jadida. The company has already been awarded the contract to ...
