Jakarta, Sept 2 (ANTARA) - Chairman of the Indonesian Mujahidin Council Abu Bakar Ba'asyir was sentenced to four years in jail by the Central Jakarta district court on Tuesday for violating Article 55 point 1 of the Criminal Code on subversion, Article 263 point 1 of the Criminal Code on forgery and Article 48 of Law No.9 on immigration. According to the judges, the factor implicating Ba'asyir is that he was once punished and the factors lightening his sentence are that the Muslim cleric is already aging, was polite during his trial, cooperative and did not complicate the trial process.
