Eleven consortia and companies are bidding for the concession of the new electric power transmission line in Bahia state, to be auctioned this month. According to the regulatory institution Aneel (Agencia Nacional de Energia Eletrica), the investments total R$109.1mil. The entity predicts that the new transmission line will start up until June 2005, connecting the substations Camacari II and Sapeacu, with 106km length and 500kV.
