Dhaka, Aug 27 (UNB)-Seven judges in the higher court took oath of office today, amid protest by a section of lawyers holding the banner of Supreme Court Bar Association.

Chief Justice KM Hasan administered the oath in a simple ceremony at the judges' lounge of the Supreme Court in the afternoon.

Justice Mohammad Tafazzal Islam was sworn in as judge of the Appellate Division while Khondker Musa Khaled, whose services were not confirmed in July after completion of a two-year term, as regular judge of in the High Court division.

Five other judges were sworn in as additional judges. They are District and Sessions Judge of Dhaka ATM Fazle ...
