DU PONT WEIGHS CHANGES IN DACRON BIZ STRUCTURE NEW YORK -- Du Pont is considering the reorganization of its Dacron polyester business into a separate operation. Company officials stressed that they were only "studying" this possibility and "no decision has yet been made."
According to Bob Pruyn, worldwide director of Dacron operations for Du Pont, "There is a Du Pont textile team which has been formed to study how the Dacron business is presently being run within the Du Pont organization and how that would differ if it was a business outside the company."
He indicated that by "outside the company" he meant Du Pont owned, but operated as an independent ...
