Ahmedabad, Aug 7 (PTI) A week after the NHRC moved the Indian Supreme Court seeking re-trial in the Best Bakery case outside Gujarat, the state government on Thursday filed an application in the High Court here challenging the verdict of the trial court acquitting 21 accused in the case.
Simultaneously, the state government also filed an application challenging the decision of the Godhra sessions court in which several persons accused of atrocities and rioting during the communal violence were also acquitted.
