ISLAMABAD, July 20 (PPI): A 52-year old Pakistani, Muhammad Sagheer, who had been detained for ten months in an American prison in Guantanamo Bay Sunday hoped that he would win legal battle for $10.4 million in compensation and damages from the U.S. government. Sagheer was released from Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, by the end of November last, the first Pakistani released from the prison currently holding about 600 inmates. He served a legal notice by his lawyer, Muhammed Ikram Chaudhry to the US government on July 9 and sought reply within a month. In presence of his lawyer, Mr. Sagheer told a news conference that he had no option to sue the US government as his illegal ...
