28 JULY 2003 MAJURO (Pacnews) - Health care on four remote nuclear test-affected islands in the central Pacific is getting a big boost with the arrival of medical doctors from Nepal.
Nepalese doctors are being stationed on Kili Island, home of the exiled people from Bikini where the US government tested 23 nuclear weapons, and on Mejatto, the home of displaced Rongelap Islanders who were exposed to high-level nuclear fallout from the 1954 "Bravo" hydrogen bomb test.
They will also be stationed on Enewetak, which was the ground zero for 43 US nuclear bomb tests, and on Utrik, an atoll that was also dusted with fallout from the "Bravo" test.
