Karachi, June 27 PPI: New fishing season will restart from July 1st 2003 after gap of one month from Karachi Fish Harbour, the Chief Minister Sindh Ali Muhammad Mahar will be the Chief guest at inaugural ceremony to be held at Harbour. Officially fish catching is banned from June 1st to July 31st every year since 1980 in pursuance of Sindh Fisheries Ordinance 1980. The purpose of this ban is to protect fish species and enhance growth, weight and length of fishes during breeding season. Whereas during this period sea remains rough and dangerous.
