Q) Two months ago I got a call from a company that claimed they could help me. They told me my credit was bad, and we then discussed particular accounts.
I paid $550 over the course of two months expecting the company to pay my creditors with it. A law office representing one of our credit card accounts called us and said the company could not stop legal action.
The company never paid our bills, and when we canceled the contract, we were not able to get our money back, because they kept it as a fee.
