MII launches new policies to curb handset importing by Chinese mobile phone firms
Shanghai. September 16. INTERFAX-CHINA - Mainland China's MII (Ministry of Information Industry) has launched two major measures in order to stop domestic mobile phone manufacturers from using handsets and handset components manufactured over seas and to improve the overall level of domestic mobile phone manufacturers' R&D and manufacturing capabilities.
Many mainland Chinese mobile phone manufacturers currently import completed mobile phones produced by overseas OEM or ODM partners, and then subsequently label these mobile phones with their own brands before releasing ...
