Embedded passive components are considered an important emerging technology and an opportunity for the American IMS companies to add value and differentiate their products from other geographic regions. Last fall, the IPC New Technology Committee of the Supplier's Council sponsored a two-day tutorial on embedded passives technology and the IPC followed this with a separate area at IPC Expo specifically for embedded passives technologies.
