Congratulations to our 126 new Senior Chiefs.
Navywide the number eligible for Senior Chief increased this year by almost 150. Despite more senior chief petty officers deciding to stay Navy, advancement opportunity to E-8 remained strong at 11.73 percent this year--down only slightly from last year's 12.97 percent. Our supply community advancement numbers were in line with the Navy average where we saw a one percent decline in opportunity. Statistics follow:
