The Infiniti Pro Series has a new title sponsor. The question is, can you call the Indy Racing League's feeder series a success?
The only two drivers to advance to Indy cars since the division was created last year (A.J. Foyt IV and Ed Carpenter, the stepson of Tony George) probably would have moved up without the Pro Series. The car counts remain low (15 per race at the 10 races this year) and there are only 18 cars in existence. The series also has not made an impact in the grandstands, and its half-hour television shows on ESPN2 are inconsistently programmed.
