26 MAY 2003 NUKUA'LOFA (Pacnews) - Tonga's chief justice, Gordon Ward, again declared this morning that a Privy Council ban on the New Zealand-published Tonga language newspaper, Taimi o Tonga, was "unlawful and invalid".
Justice Ward ordered the ban immediately quashed.
Justice Ward also placed an interim injunction on the Ordinance adopted by the Privy Council on 16 May which purported to immediately revoke "Taimi 'o Tonga's" licence to trade, until the substantive application for judicial review is heard.
