Enbridge said Wednesday it purchased a 90% interest in the Cushing to Chicago Pipeline System (CCPS) from BP Pipelines North America for $122 million. Enbridge intends to reverse the flow of the 650 mile pipeline by 2004, at a cost of $20 million. The reversed line, which would transport Canadian crude south from Chicago to Cushing, Oklahoma, would be renamed the Spearhead Pipeline.
