R63 million lost to robbers
VIRAC Robbers have so far plundered at least R63 million from 26 banks that were hit this year. This was disclosed by Rep. Joseph Santiago (NPC, Catanduanes) who had asked Camp Crame to look into speculations that with next years general elections fast approaching, the robberies may have something to do with the fundraising drives of politicians with links to crime gangs, or may be related to recent attempts to discredit and destabilize government.
