BRITAIN'S fastest ever passenger rail service was officially opened yesterday when Eurostar trains ran at 186mph on the Channel Tunnel Rail Link.
Tony Blair and Transport Secretary Alistair Darling hailed the [pounds sterling]5.2billion project, which will slash journey times to and from the Continent, as a milestone for Britain's rail network.
