A DOCTOR who made a fortune while endangering obese patients by selling them slimming pills that could have caused them serious harm has been given permission to practise again.
Psychiatrist Dr Karen Bett, 40, narrowly avoided being struck off by the General Medical Council last year when her disciplinary case for serious professional misconduct was halted after she became ill.
Since May this year she has been entitled to practise again, but restrictions imposed for a year mean she must be supervised by another doctor.
