Truth be told, Doug Larsson likely is wanted in two towns.
The former Rolling Meadows deputy police chief, who took a job as police chief in Round Lake Beach this summer, formally was honored recently for his service to Rolling Meadows.
In a proclamation issued by Mayor Ken Nelson, Larsson - who joined Rolling Meadows' force more than 30 years ago - was lauded for a job well done.
"We didn't want him to go away without some official recognition," Nelson said. To Larsson, he added: "Congratulations, and thank you for everything you've done for the city. ...Round Lake Beach is lucky to have a person of this caliber and this talent."
