Sangsad Bhaban, Sept 17 (UNB) - Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia today told Parliament that a massive programme has been undertaken to include computer education in phases in the syllabus at the secondary and higher secondary levels.
She said 10,000 computers would be provided in the first phase and then another 15,000 to the educational institutions at a cost of nearly Tk 100 crore (one billion) to be met from the revenue budget and from own resources of the education boards of the country.
The Prime Minister was answering to a question from Kalim Uddin Ahmed during the PM's question-answer in the afternoon.
