East Syracuse will use about $45,000 in state highway money to pay for a paving project that began this week on several residential streets.
Contractors began milling the existing pavement this week on the 100 blocks of East Henrietta and West Henrietta streets; the 600 and 700 blocks of North Center Street; the 500 block of Silver Street, and part of the 200 block of West Ellis Street, said Ron Russell, village public works superintendent.
Another contractor arrives next week to repave those streets, weather permitting, Russell said.
