2003 SEP 22 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- After 4 years on the market, Actos (pioglitazone HCl) has achieved another milestone since its introduction - more than 25 million prescriptions for the oral insulin sensitizer have been written in the United States by physicians treating patients with type 2 diabetes.
This accomplishment follows Actos becoming the number one prescribed thiazolidinedione, or TZD, of primary care physicians and endocrinologists in 2002.
