The managing director of the Dutch CHR Hansen company, Mr. Ricardo Lecca, says that the export of natural coloring agents from Peru will grow by 10% this year, boosted by an increase in global demand and the trend away from synthetic colorants, especially in Europe. Mr. Lecca notes that 95% of Peruvian production of natural coloring agents is exported, mostly to Europe. These have a value of US$20mil.
