Chartered Secretaries Australia (CSA) has called for tougher laws to thwart unethical sharemarket bottom feeders. On 18 September 2003, the peak body representing company secretaries called on the Australian Securities & Investments Commission to develop new and tougher guidelines that prohibit rogue share buyers like Melbourne businessman David Tweed from gaining automatic access to publicly-listed company share registers.
