Sep. 18--Federal officials might be looking into a more than $850,000 grant given to the Logan County Airport Authority for a taxi strip, county officials have confirmed.
"We are aware of the situation at the airport," said Jim Peters, spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration in Jamaica, N.Y. "We can't comment further."
The Logan County Commission has scheduled a special meeting today to discuss questions being raised about the project, such as: whether the commission approved the project and funded the 5 percent matching share that is required ...
