The Peruvian Deputy Minister of Energy, Mr. Carlos Garaycochea, says that there are five companies interested in the concession to develop Lot 56, which is the area adjacent to Lot 88, which contains the Camisea gas reserves. It is estimated that Lot 56 contains 3 trillion cubic feet of natural gas. Amongst the interested companies are the three which currently form the Camisea consortium, Pluspetrol, Hunt, SK, and Tecpetrol, who want the Lot 56 reserves to boost the amount of gas available for their export project, and the Repsol and Total Elf Fina companies, as well ...
