ONONDAGA LAKE PARK VISITOR CENTER TO OPEN; GRIFFIN CENTER IS PART OF $14 MILLION PROGRAM TO RENOVATE ONONDAGA COUNTY PARKS.(Local)

The new visitor center at Onondaga Lake Park opens today in the first of three ceremonies celebrating the park's history and multimillion-dollar renovation.

"It just came out beautifully," said Onondaga County Parks Commissioner Robert Geraci. "It's just a wonderful renovation and preservation of something that has a lot of history."

The field house at Griffin Stadium has been transformed into the Joseph A. Griffin Visitor Center. The center will open at 10 a.m. The main entrance to the park at Route 370 will reopen today as well.
