Discovery Outlines TLC Plans
The Discovery Channel painted its programming plans for The Learning Channel with broad brush strokes last week, but hedged on specifics that are of interest to operators.
Left unsaid was how TLC will be marketed to operators, whether both networks will be bundled and whether there are international plans for TLC.
Executives said more details on TLC will be hammered out at a June 26 board meeting. Cable customers will see changes in the network as early as July, with an all-new format unveiled in October.
