DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 14, 2003
The Wiser Oil Company (NYSE:WZR) today announced its participation in the West Cameron 488 #1 discovery well, located approximately 100 miles offshore Louisiana in 125 feet of water. This well was drilled to a total depth 9,250 feet (7,048 feet TVD) and encountered approximately 56 feet of net gas pay. The well was not flow tested and has been temporarily abandoned while platform facilities and pipeline are installed. It is anticipated that production will be initiated in the first or second quarter of 2004. The Wiser Oil Company has a 25% working interest in this project.
