Carol Stream Elementary District 93 officials said Monday they may have to up the ante for a proposed tax increase request in March.
School officials had tentatively decided on a 90-cent property tax rate increase request for the district's education fund to stave off a potential $4.5 million deficit by 2006.
The property tax rate increase, if approved by voters, would rise about 30 cents for each of the first three years under that scenario.
But more recent financial projections indicate the district could still run a potential deficit of more than $430,000 with a 90-cent rate ...
