Sep. 25--Low-income teenagers in Salt Lake and Tooele counties will have more opportunities to find jobs and mentors under a Salt Lake County/Salt Lake Chamber partnership announced Wednesday.
Salt Lake County, which said the partnership could increase the number of teenagers enrolled in its Youth Employ-Ability Services (YES) program from about 300 to about 500, always has needed more employers willing to offer mentoring opportunities, training, internships and jobs, program manager Jude Schmid said.
