DETROIT _ If the Twins' 5-4, 11-inning loss to the usually inept Detroit Tigers on Thursday night at Comerica Park showed anything, it was that:
The Twins can't win them all, even against the Tigers;
The Tigers can't lose them all, even when they get shut out for six innings;
And Johan Santana is ready for Game 1 of the playoffs.
"Believe it," said the Twins' left-hander, who put five innings of finishing touches on a sparkling season that holds promise for the Twins' chances in next week's playoff series against the New York Yankees.
