A California company recalled packages of Cotija cheese that might be contaminated with listeria bacteria, officials said Tuesday.
No illnesses have been reported from the products, Ariza Cheese Co. of Paramount said Tuesday.
The cheese was vacuum-packed in plastic and comes in different sizes. The packages indicate the product should be sold by April 21 to 25, 2004. Also recalled was cheese in foam trays with plastic cling wrap. It was labeled as Ariza Brand Queso Cotija and the package says the product should be sold by July 21 to 25, 2003.
