Sep. 27--A Boca Raton medical technology company has received $6 million in venture money, one of the largest cash infusions locally in two years.
NovaVision was able to get a big slice of the venture capital pie at a time when most companies are happy with morsels. Generally, venture cash flow has dried up in Florida and companies receive $250,000 apiece or less, if they get anything. Nova's take even exceeds the $1 million ScriptRx, a West Palm Beach maker of hospital emergency-room computer systems, got in April.
