Western Wireless Corporation (Nasdaq:WWCA), a leading provider of wireless communications services to rural America, announced today that its registration statement on Form S-3, registering for resale its outstanding 4.625% Convertible Subordinated Notes due 2023 (and the shares of Class A common stock of Western Wireless issuable upon conversion of the notes), has been declared effective by the Securities and Exchange Commission.
