Before children came along, a holiday for me might be lazing on a beach in some exotic place with a paperback, trying a watersport which took my fancy and thinking about dinner at the end of the day.
Once you become a parent, holidays change. In fact, when children are very young, the 'family break' can do exactly that - push people to breaking point.
