Jun. 25--Some elected officials in the San Gabriel Valley say they don't want to ask their residents to OK another tax -- even if it is for something as important as libraries.
But ask they must, say the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, which has given 40 cities countywide until June of next year to put the issue on a city ballot or face a possible loss of library services.
