Aug. 21--South Charleston Mayor Richie Robb defended efforts he's made to lure Acordia to his city on Wednesday, despite questions about whether the move contradicts efforts to bring jobs to the region as a whole.
Robb said Wednesday that he has been in contact with Acordia for a few weeks and that he's willing to offer at least $1 million to bring the company's operations to South Charleston's business district.
The company has three offices in Charleston and employs about 1,000 people.
