New Agriculture Leader Settles In at Colorado State University.

Sep. 28--FORT COLLINS, Colo.--Marc Johnson is the first to admit he did not take the traditional route to agriculture administration despite growing up on a farming operation near Wichita, Kan.

But he said he plans to stay awhile in his new job as dean of agricultural sciences and vice provost for agriculture and outreach at Colorado State University. He succeeds Kirvin Knox, who retired in December 2000 as the first man to hold the position created by then-President Al Yates in 1992.
